FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE VisFT Version 2.0 ReleasedA new version of Maracor's flexible Fault Tree Diagnostic Software is now availableMarch 14, 2003 -- Maracor Software & Engineering, Inc. announced that Version 2.0 of its popular fault tree diagnostic software package, VisFT, was released today to licensed users of the previous versions of this product. VisFT allows the risk assessment analyst to quickly examine large fault tree models and identify potential problems and inefficiencies in those models. Many diagnostic tools are provided to assist the analyst in reviewing his or her model and cutset results. This new version of VisFT features support for even larger models, as well as models developed in EPRI's CAFTA PRA software suite. New diagnostic capabilities have been added, including a 'Watch Window' feature to assist in determining the logic status of key logic gates in the model. VisFT is currently in use at several US utilities, including Dominion Virginia Power, NMC, AmerenUE, Southern California Edison, and FirstEnergy Corporation.
